Virgin History
Virgin has a rich and varied history which takes in airlines, records, bridalwear, holidays, vodka, cars, bank accounts, mobile phones, cosmetics, condoms, gyms... the list goes on. And there's more to come - Virgin is stronger than ever.
Whenever you want to get to know someone or something better today, it can help to look back at what they were up to yesterday. So while Virgin has its sights set firmly on the future, we don't mind an occasional glance back.
It's been quite a ride with some fantastic ups and downs - do you remember when we took on Coke to launch Virgin Cola? Or when we stuck two fingers up at British Airways? Or even when we unleashed our rival to iTunes? It all started when Richard Branson co-founded what was to become one of the biggest best independent record labels in the world...
