Virgin Media Pioneers announce headliners

The ten finalists of Virgin Media Pioneers’ ‘The Project’ have announced details of their Royal Opera House Festival, with a host of big names set to appear at ‘Impatience is a Virtue’.

Tickets to the event are available for free, with the option of giving a donation (of any amount) to Virgin Unite.

The young entrepreneurs, who are putting on the one-off festival for Richard Branson on September 7th, have confirmed the appearance of Bristol-born singer songwriter Tanya Lacey, chart-topping indie rock band Noisettes, rapper MC Blizzard and Motown singer Rickstar.

The event will also showcase British talent, featuring Virgin Media Pioneer and founder of SBTV Jamal Edwards and Richard Branson himself.

“I’ve been so impressed with the final ten who’ve shown real enthusiasm and potential - I suppose they reminded me of when I first started out. We had so many youngsters wanting to do this it just goes to show how much drive, ambition and untapped possibility there is in the UK,” commented the Virgin Group founder.

“The evening they’re throwing promises to be something really special and I can’t wait to be there. This will be an invaluable experience for each of them – they’re real life Apprentices. Entertainment is at the heart of Virgin and we thought we could help show what young Britons can do!”
