Richard Branson and the Business Chicks

Richard Branson and the Business Chicks. No, it’s not Virgin Records’ latest signing, it’s an entrepreneur event to put in the diary for 2013.

Business Chicks, Australia’s number one network for women, have confirmed that the Virgin Group Founder will be making appearances at exclusive events in both Brisbane and Adelaide next year. May 8th will see Branson give a guest speech at a breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre, to over 1,700 guests, with the same set to happen the following day in Brisbane.

Of the event, Business Chicks CEO Emma Isaacs commented: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You’ll be privy to the behind-the-scenes challenges, crisis points and triumphs in the personal journey of a visionary who has achieved phenomenal success.”

The group has over 27,000 members from around Australia, who are involved in both the online platform and quarterly magazine produced by Business Chicks. Their presence can be felt in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth, while previous speaking guests include Olivia Newton-John and Diane von Furstenberg.

Branson has been very outspoken on the importance of women in business in 2012, earlier this year he took to his blog to underline the importance of gender diversity in boosting performance.

Are you going to the event? If so, what would you like to hear from the Virgin Group Founder?
