We turn a simple cruise into a bon voyage,? These are your word. Why then did you turn our holiday into a Nightmare?? Wrong Hotel, 300 miles from where we were suposed to be.? A beech holiday when we aimed for a City sight seeing holiday. I can you on and On. Here, I would like to register this as a formal complaint to be investigated by a senior Customer service manager. I made a booking for my wife and myself, with your company Booking ref Number 4491839 We have not had a proper holiday for a few years, in 2006 I had my right hip replaced and in august of 2008 I had my left hip replaced in Nover 2008 my wife turned sixty and in May 2009 I turned sixty. This holiday was to be a holiday to remember. What I want to know is what you are going to do about our holiday being remmbered for the wrong reasons.? We should have know that it was a mistake to believe all that we had heard about Virgin being one of the best travel companies on the present day market. Especially when my first Itinerary stated that we were to fly from Manchester on the 2nd September 2009 destination Heathrow and returrn from Heathrow on the 16th September 2009. This was rectified Manchester to Luxor, Egypt, Cruising the first week on the MS Nile Style and the second week at Three Corners Hotel El Gouna. I was unable to find out anything about the baot or the hotel. So after speaking with one of your representatives we found out that there was a 4 to 5 hours drive to El Gouna in a bus. So I requested a change of location for our second week. This was to stay in Luxor at the Hilton Hotel, Luxor. I was informed about an administration fee of £120 for changing the booking, accepted this as I did not feel that my hips and back would be in any condition to sit for 4 to 5 hours on a bus for the drive from Luxor to El Gouna. We made monthly payments to Virgin and every invoice came back that we were still going to the Three Corners Hotel, El Gouna. On receipt of every invoice I contacted Virgin Holiday Cruises and explained the situation to one of your representatives. They promptly agreed that an error had been made and a new corrected invoice would be sent out to me and it was however added to the address of the Hilton Hotel, Luxor was something else. The new title was Hilton Plaza Hotel, Luxor. When I questioned this I was told that there was only ONE Hilton Hotel in Luxor and I should not worry, the invoice was correct, I was spending my second week of my holiday with my wife in Luxor, Egypt. We were informed that the MS Nile Style was a 5 star accommodation and we were on full board for the first week. Let me tell you the only 5 stars to do with this boat were seen at night while on deck. If it was a 3 star the grading official was being very generous. The staff were very helpful and along with the tour guide George M Basher the first week was a success. Despite there not being brewing facilities in the room and the TV only played Egyptian and German programs (when it was on) not once did we have English news programs. In fact the whole cruise was dominated by the German tourists, their guides and their every whim. The food was quite good the entertainment was noticeable by its absence. We spent the first week worrying and waiting for our rep to get a confirmation on the location of our second weeks holiday. You see when we landed at luxor and tried to confirm our transport arrangements for the second week they differed from those that our rep had been sent from Virgin. We finally found out that there was no reservation for my wife and I at the Hilton Luxor for the period 9th to 16th September 2009 and that we were to travel to some place called Hurghada which was 300 kilometers away from Luxor and would take us, yes you have got it, 4 to 5 hours drive on a bus. After three or four communications with the company our rep informed us that we we to go to the Hilton Plaza Hotel, Hurghada. This is on the Red Sea about a hours drive short of El Gouna. The place that we did NOT wish to go, because I was worried about my hips and back. Well, let me inform you, after the 5 hours drive from Luxor to Hurghada, I spent most of the next 24 hrs in my room in quite some discomfort. We didn't venture outside the Hotel complex much for the whole week. That didn't help, for a Hilton hotel family complex the place was rubbish and a complaint has been lodged with the hotel management. The staff were very friendly and sociable, the rooms were quite good, apart from the daily power cuts, some lasting 2 to 3 hours. If you were a fitness fanatic there was a gym, if you were young and into water sports there was everything. If you just wanted to lay on the beach and get drunk, you had very little choice of the alcohol to choice from. It was rubbish or you paid full whack (again)What the complex lacked was entertainment. Being all-inclusive was a disadvantage because you had to pay twice to enjoy your stay. The food was nearly always cold, it was boring and repetitive every meal with the expectation of breakfast was the same, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Chicken with Chilli, grilled fish, Grilled Fish with Chilli, Goulash. 20 different items of salad, (some you have never heard of). We returned to Luxor to fly home on our 5 hour flight leaving Hurghada at 0900 hrs 5 hr drive arriving at Luxor at 1400hrs we then had a 3 hr wait for our flight arriving at Manchester at 2200 hrs, this being followed by another 40 min in a taxi to get home. During this holiday we have spent 10 hrs travelling from Luxor to Hurghada and back for whose pleasure? Definitely not ours. I have to say the for a holiday that cost us over £3000, £3000 to yourselves has been the biggest disaster of our lives to date. Yes on returning home I had to spend a day taking painkillers and resting because of the discomfort of being bounced around for 5 hours on a 16 seater bus through the desters of Egypt. I am sure that I will be waiting to hear the results of your enquiry with baited breath, before I take up my next action. Yours sincerely And very very annoyed Antoni M Stanczyk

Gir-day Sir Richard from down under, I'm an Aussie living here in Perth, Western Australia and I've a fantastic new theme/idea that has never been seen or conducted on a cruise ship liner anywhere in the world and would like to present it to you for every Virgin Cruise Liner as the first, however, don't know how to contact YOU as I truly believe that my theme would certainly be the next big thing in entertainment that all the family can get involved and certainly talk about for a long time after they leave the ship from their holiday. As we all know, the best form of advertising is "word of mouth" and what better than a happy passenger to spread excellent word of mouth advertising than that? It's a simple idea, relatively inexpensive compared to other forms of entertainment, need only three people to run the theme at one time and most of the expenses or cost can be allocated to sponsors of the theme as a reciprocal/mutually beneficial win, win, win solution. And you know what they say “the simple things in life are often the best”. Right? I just don't want to present the theme to these entertainment or cruise managers and they tell me it won't work and then they go off and get the credit when they pitch the idea to you, Sir Richard and they make billions. I know my idea will make your liners heaps of extra profits because it's a theme that is so topical in today's society that it can't fail. By following a simple formula: (features + benefits) x (passenger + entertainment) = customer satisfaction = Big $$$ + Return Revenue The theme can also be turned into a reality show and other spin-offs like merchandising, awards and the market could potentially reach more than TWO THIRDS of the current cruise ship travelling world's population if promoted, “The Right Way” Ok, by now you probably asking yourself, if the idea was so great why am I bringing it to you or why hasn't it already happened? Well, all modern day inventors from Bell to Pasteur had to start somewhere, right? Bill Gates, yourself , Donald Trump all had to start somewhere too, right? So if you want to be the one that helps me get this off the ground, I certainly won't forget YOU. That's a promise and I'm a man of my word. I also know that this might also sound a little too good to be true. It is, but if the most successful people in todays' world only use a fraction of their minds, then this idea is one of those successful ideas because of its purpose will benefit a lot of people, because this idea will also bring joy to a lot of people who are searching for happiness and the meaning of life. This idea will bring families closer together, husbands closer to their wives, fathers closer to their daughters and mothers closer to their sons. If this idea takes off as much as a tenth of what it capable of, it will change cruise line travel forever in a most profoundly manner. I know this sounds like huge claims but I've been reading and researching all the liners and none are doing anything like this theme and once this idea is known to them, think of the KFC or MacDonalds or Coke name and how they all began. Well, my name is Ian Gomes and I'm currently lying down on my couch typing this email to YOU at 4.16am, Thursday 3rd, September, 2009 in the morning. I'm stone cold sober and not on any prescribe or illicit drugs. This is the start of when YOU and I become house hold names in the cruise liner industry. Go tell every contact you know about this and only YOU get back to me and we will see how this will take off. My email is I.Gomes@three.com.au Thank you in advance for your help with this idea and I hope to hear from YOU only, soon. If not, I will continue trying other places until I succeed. And do not fool yourself Sir Richard, it will succeed and is potentially worth billions in revenue.
