statement: Kunal Kirpalani has led an international existence with the entrappings of a ‘Third Culture Kid’ upbringing. Born India and growing up in Australia, he ended up graduating from the United World College of Southeast Asia (UWCSEA), an international high school Singapore, where he moved to at the age of sixteen. He then went onto read a BA(International Relations) at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, with an exchange at the University of Manchester. He has just graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London; with a MSc Development Studies. He has had extensive academic exposure in International Relations and Development Economics and past work experience in several development organisations and policy institutions, including the United Nations; along with companies and NGOs in the Social Entrepreneurship, Women Empowerment, Security Studies and Sanitation fields. Such experiences have taken him to the fancy corporate offices of London, to the slums of Mumbai and through the villages of rural Cambodia!
