Constantly evolving, consistently shifting, always appealing, Young Knives’ will join the line-up at V Festival this year. A muscular clatter of pulsing guitars, head spinning percussive thuds and harmonic, brotherly vocals provide the backbone to a rich throng of giddy, excited ideas and ageless, wry lyrical themes.
After 17 years of glorious records, Siouxsie, the true outsider’s outsider, will take to the stage solo at this year’s V Festival. The legacy that is Siouxsie returned last year with her debut solo album, Mantaray, which was indisputably one of the albums of 2007.
Two Brit awards, several successful tours, three top selling albums, four number one singles, over seven million record sales AND a successful venture into films, Will Young’s career is again opening up to new challenges. With the immanent arrival of his fourth album, Will is set to make his debut at this year’s V Festival.

The bunch of extroverts that are Drive-By Truckers join this year’s V Line-up. Stylistically, they run the gamut from old-timey sounding country to a heavy R&B influence.
Scotland’s best-kept secret The Dykeenies are set to bring their swivel-hipped dancefloor classics to the V stage this summer. The Glaswegian band is guaranteed to steal your hearts with dastardly panache and start your hips moving in an altogether unwholesome manner. There will soon be no escaping their gleaming new wave majesty.
The Newport legend continues as Goldie Lookin Chain are set to wax lyrical at this year’s V.
With hits like ‘Guns Don’t Kill People Rappers Do’, ‘Half Man Half Machine’ ‘You Knows I loves You’ and the classic ‘and Your Mother’s Got a Penis’ GLC are set to be a crowd pleaser.
Old Red Eyes, as he used to be, is back. After 19 years with The Beautiful South Paul Heaton is a man energised, liberated, and unleashed. With his new band Heaton has embarked on a solo career. He is harder, rockier, louder than of yore. The sweet melodies are still there and look set to light up V Festival this summer.
Fresh from touring with Scouting For Girls, V Festival welcomes mad-haired Jack McManus to the stage. Inspired by the classic songwriters of the seventies, 23 year old Jack writes songs like an old soul. His debut album, Either Side of Midnight, is an instantly accessible album of gorgeous memorable tunes and is set to attract fans at this year’s festival.
